For the 15th consecutive year, I watched the green flag drop at Daytona International Speedway in February, signifying not only the start of the Great American Race but also the beginning of my Great American Dream. This year was even more special because I am living my lifelong dream of being a business owner.
This year, I drove a truckload of equipment to Daytona with my company name in the back window and two process partners working by my side. After four days of construction and hard work, the NASCAR Hub was officially open for business. It’s funny how something so simple can give me so much pride but the risk of doing something on my own has created an intangible reward, greater than I could have ever imagined.
With this project successfully in the books, I am looking forward to what 2016 at Traction Event Labs will bring. I know it’s not going to be easy, that all jobs won’t go this smoothly, and that every customer won’t be as amazing as NASCAR, but I am confident that the sore hands and lack of sleep is well worth it.
I hope these stories give you the confidence to realize your dreams. My only ask? That when you make your first million and need someone to celebrate with, you keep me in mind.
Thanks for your continued support, friendship and love.
